The main goal was to ensure optimal network performance for internal use, while also providing customers with access to a free Wi-Fi network. The project was successfully implemented by Cosmos Business Systems, based on HPE Aruba Wi-Fi equipment.

Athens Marriott Hotel

Design and procurement of wired & wireless infrastructure at the “ATHENS MARRIOTT HOTEL” with “HPE Aruba” networking equipment.

The need to improve the hotel’s network equipment arose from repeated customer complaints regarding poor Wi-Fi signal reception in various areas. A key requirement for the project was that the chosen solution should comply with the standards of the Athens Marriott Hotels chain and fully meet the needs of the hotel. The required specifications included excellent network coverage throughout the hotel, regardless of location, as well as seamless roaming capabilities between floors. The challenge of this project was to select the right solution for procuring the networking equipment that would meet all of these requirements.

National Maritime Single Window (NMSW)

Cosmos Business Systems implemented the information system for the National Maritime Single Window (NMSW) on behalf of the Hellenic Coast Guard, for the submission of declaration procedures. The aim of the system is to facilitate maritime transport in accordance with Directive 2010/65/EU of the European Parliament regarding the formalities for submitting declarations for ships when arriving at or departing from ports in EU member states.

Cosmos Business Systems was entrusted by Sarkk SA, the exclusive distributor of Tommy Hilfiger in Greece, Cyprus, Romania, Bulgaria, Albania, Moldova, and FYROM, with the implementation of a project for the installation of modern wireless networking equipment at its headquarters in Chalandri, as well as in 15 Tommy Hilfiger stores across Greece. In the second phase, the installation of similar networks will be carried out in Cyprus, Bulgaria, and Romania. The project covers the connectivity needs of all stores with the company’s new management software, as well as the need to provide Internet access for retail store customers.

The infrastructure is based on VMware Velocloud equipment, which is one of the most advanced SD-WAN technology platforms available today.
